Supporting People for Wales
“Supporting People is our policy and funding framework for delivering housing related to vunerable people. Support is provided to enable people to live independently and to maintain a tenancy.”

Supporting People requires:
- Provision of housing with support based on the needs of individual users.
- Payment of SP grant based on individual’s needs rather than the type of accommodation they live in.
- Continuing payment of the SP grant is subject to regular monitoring and Best Value reviews.
- Payments of SP grants are made by the Administering Authorities via IT systems, in line with the e-government agenda.
