International Overdose Awareness Day: Rethink & Remember

Substance misuse and its impact on our families and communities cannot be understated. In 2014 there were over 3,000 drugs related deaths in England and Wales alone, whilst in Scotland there were more than 600*. Sadly these numbers continue to be high and it’s only through greater help and support that we will see a decline in drug related deaths.

B&W

31st August 2016 is International Overdose Awareness Day; a day to remember and pay tribute to loved ones injured or lost through overdose and to consider the ongoing challenges faced in our communities and families.

We hope that through better and improved technologies will we be able to help our colleagues and friends in the substance misuse services offer the support needed to help clients and families recover. For those who are suffering from the loss of loved ones, our deepest sympathies go with you.
